In 2000, at age 47, during a 3-week trip to Europe, I played with the reserve team of Maccabi Brussels (no problem joining them, if you're wondering: I still knew their coach!). And yes, it was good: I scored 3 times in as many games.
See, I really enjoy the damn game!
But alas, there came a bump in my career. In the summer of 2001 I hurt my Achille's tendon - my first serious injury ever - and had to have an operation. But I didn't give up, and I also began playing with my two sons, Jonathan and Itamar. (My daughter Noa plays other games.)
