Chapter 7: One Dimensional Barrier Scattering
When a wavepacket is incident on a potential barrier in l-d, part of tbe amplitude is generally reflected and part is transmitted. Normally one is interested in calculating the reflection and transmission probabilities, R(E) and T(E), as a function of energy. In this chapter we illustrate several methods for calculating these quantities.
- Calculation of reflection and transmission coefficients for the Eckart barrier from wavepacket autocorrelation functions
- Calculation of reflection and transmission coefficients for the Eckart barrier from wavepacket cross-correlation functions
- Calculation of resonances and phase shifts for a wall-well potential (time independent)
- Calculation of resonances and phase shifts for a double barrier potential (time independent)
