Research in the group is highly interdisciplinary involving chemistry and physics (developing methods in NMR and DNP) materials science aspects (synthesis, device assembly, electrochemistry and characterization)
Positions are available for:
MSc and PhD students:
- Structure-function studies of electrode and electrolyte materials and their interface in energy storage and conversion systems using a plethora of characterization tools (XRD, XPS, Electron microscopy) and by advanced solid state NMR and MAS-DNP.
- Method development for high sensitivity NMR via endogenous and exogenous MAS-DNP.
- Probing ion transport in solids and across interfaces by new NMR approaches.
Postdoctoral fellows:
- Method development and application of MAS-DNP and solid state NMR
Requirement: PhD in Chemistry/Physics, background in solid state NMR and/or DNP and/or EPR spectroscopy. - Synthesis of new electrode and electrolyte materials
Requirement: PhD in Chemistry/materials science, background in solid state chemistry: synthesis and characterization, excellent analytical and technical skills.
Research Assistant/Staff Scientist:
- Senior position which involves advanced research projects and co-management of the NMR/DNP systems.
- Candidates should have a PhD in Chemistry/Physics/Engineering with proven experience in magnetic resonance. Postdoctoral experience or equivalent is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work in a research team are required.
- Possibility for tenure track for suitable candidates.
To apply please send a cover letter describing your research interests, CV and list of publications to Dr. Michal Leskes.
