Work at chemical lab

In the laboratory there may be many hazardous situations while working with various different chemicals (corrosive, flammable, toxic etc.) and chemical reactions that may get out of control. This guide adds to the provisions of the Israeli laws and legislations. PIs are responsible for compliance with all safety requirements in laboratories under their supervision. They are also responsible for enforcing the law and Weizmann Institute's guidelines in their laboratories as well as for implementing safety guidelines by employees/students and all those entering laboratories under their responsibility. The PI is responsible to update the group’s Annual Safety Program using a dedicated computer program developed as WIS. These program must be available to all lab members.
