The G-Protein Coupled Receptors (GPCRs) constitutes a familly which is
an interesting therapeutical target. These receptors are important
proteins in a widely used cell communication system. The number of
known GPCR sequences and related data volume increase rapidly. For
these reasons we are developping a program (for SGI workstations) to
integrate as much as possible the available informations related to
GPCRs. The "Viseur" program let you interactively visualize and/or
modify the sequences, trans-membrane areas, alignments or visualize
models and mutational analysis results in a completely integrated
environment. The integration improves the efficiency of the GPCR
modelling process and the visualization/manipulation advances enable
easier database interogation and interpretation. The program really
manage a local database of GPCRs related datas. Viseur also provides
some PostScript or HTML outputs usefull for presentations, publications
or Web servers (automatic construction).
