The conference was a resounding success with over 400 participants from 30 different countries.
We were extremely fortunate to have the meeting opened by Ezer Weizman, President of the State of Israel, and Prof. Ephraim Katchalsky-Katzir, fourth President of the State of Israel. The plenary lectures by Prof. Leroy Hood and Prof. Tom Blundell were followed by four days of talks on a variety topics, many at the cutting-edge of research.
