I study the interactions between neighbor soil bacteria. I focus on the antagonistic and synergistic interactions between Bacillus subtilis and bacteria from other bacillus species. The aim is to characterize the signaling molecules that affect biofilm development, pattern formation and transcriptional control of bacillus subtilis during the interaction.
