The mobile mail unit works in cooperation with Israel Post, and is responsible for distributing, collecting and sending mail (internal and external) for all employees, students, and scientists at the Weizmann Institute.

FAQs
Can personal mail be sent out? Personal mail can be sent through campus post, provided that it has already been paid for in advance (paid by recipient or includes a postage stamp). |
Can personal packages be delivered to the Institute’s address? It is not possible to order personal packages to the Institute’s address, with the exception of students living in campus dorms, and this the Institute is their personal address. Please note that we are not responsible for personal mail and their contents. |
Can personal parking tickets/traffic violations be paid at the post office? No. The Institute's post office is not a regular post office, and does not have POS and payment services. The post office does not handle personal mail, only mail related to the professional needs of the Institute. Billing done through a budget transfer from the various departments. |

How do I send a package overseas? A package can be sent overseas when it is properly wrapped/sealed (e.g., in a cardboard box, wooden crate, or suitcase). Weight cannot exceed 19 kg. Affix an A4 sheet of paper to the package, including the sender and recipient details (From | To). |
Do you come to private houses? No. We only pick up/deliver mail to the various departments on campus. Private houses are entitled to a courier from Israel Post as part of the service they provide to tax payers. |

What is the weight limit for a package in Israel and overseas? You can send a package up to 19 kg. |
What is the frequency of receiving/collecting mail from Israel Post? Regular mail arrives at the Institute every morning, Sunday to Thursday, for the purpose of delivering and collecting the Institute's mail. We collect registered mail twice a week, Sundays and Wednesdays, or more often, if required. |
