Waters SYNAPT XS Time-of-Flight (QToF) Ion Mobility High Resolution Mass Spectrometer is equipped with three replaceable interfaces, Electrospray ionization (ESI), DESI (desorption ESI) and MALDI. Liquid samples are introduced into ESI ionization source either by direct syringe infusion or by Liquid Chromatography coupled with optical photo-diode array detector (UPLC-PDA). Advanced MS imaging technologies DESI and MALDI accompanying with High Definition Imaging software reveal information about spatial distribution of compounds within coated-plate samples.
