UV/VIS spectrophotometer for turbid samples. Scatter does not matter to this spectrophotometer, one can avoid the conclusion of ‘apparent high absorption’. The DeSa suspension presentation cavity or DSPC acts as an integrating sphere and allows the scattered photons to reach the detector, avoiding the mistake of absorption when all that happens is scattering. The system uses a dual beam configuration, monochromatic measurement beam and photomultiplier tube detection. More information
