Join us for a day trip to the Negev with two route options to choose from:
Option 1: Visit the ancient Nabatean city of Avdat, followed by a short easy walk to Harut Hill and Ardon Stream (~2.5 Km).
Option 2: Mount Ardon hike: A moderately challenging hike of ~7 Km with one of the best viewpoints on Ramon Crater. If time permits, we will also climb Harut hill.
A minimum of 50 participants is required for each option.
Option 1 Itinerary (easy)
07:30 Departure from the parking bay in front of the Sela Auditorium.
09:30 Breakfast near Avdat Archeological site
10:00 Visit the ancient Nabatean city Avdat
11:30 Drive to Mizpe Ramon
11:50 Lookout over Ramon Crater & Lunch
12:30 Drive to Harut Hill
13:00 Walk of Harut Hill and Ardon Stream (3.5 K)
16:00 Drive back to Rehovot
18:00 Anticipated return to Rehovot.

Option 2 Itinerary (Moderate)
07:30 Departure from the parking bay in front of the Sela Auditorium.
09:30 Lookout over Ramon Crater & Breakfast
10:15 Drive to Mount Ardon
11:15 Mount Ardon Hike: We will climb to Mount Ardon's summit enjoying a beautiful view over the crater. We will then start descending very steeply and caution will be required. We will stop for lunch during the hike. The hike is ~7 km and is marked as moderate due to the steep descent from the summit to the crater bed.
16:00 Drive back to Rehovot.
18:00 Anticipated return to Rehovot.
