International postdoctoral fellows may reside in student housing for a maximum stay of 12 months.

Postdoctoral fellows who have immigrated to Israel (made Aliya) within 12 months of starting at WIS may reside in Weizmann housing for a maximum stay of 12 months. Contact Housing@weizmann.ac.il.

Returning Israeli citizens who were born abroad or moved abroad prior to the age of 15 may reside in Weizmann housing for a maximum stay of 12 months. Contact Housing@weizmann.ac.il

Returning Israeli citizens who moved abroad after the age of 15 will be offered (based on availability) an eight-week stay while they look for accommodation off-campus. Contact Housing@weizmann.ac.il

Housing Requests: If you are not eligible for housing or have completed your eligibility and have exceptional circumstances (Medical condition requiring special housing/ Social cases involving multiple challenges / Disability requiring special housing/ Diversity involving multiple challenges), you may apply to the Housing Requests Committee by completing this form. The committee will convene at the beginning of each quarter (First week of September, December, March, and June). The application form will be open between 1-15 of the month before each committee.
**The next committee will convene on March 01. Applications must be submitted by 21.02.2026.

Housing Requests, once approved, will be assigned based on availability and institutional needs. The institute does not guarantee any location, type of room, or the continuity of housing over time. While we aspire to meet all needs and maintain housing continuity, there could be constraints that may facilitate changes
Type of Accommodation

Singles are allocated to a single room in a shared, same-gender, or studio apartment.

Couples are allocated to a couple’s apartment.

Families are allocated to an appropriately sized apartment when available.
We will do our best to accommodate you. However, we cannot guarantee the availability of apartments.
