Shipping to Israel
For information on shipping belongings to Israel, it really depends how much you have and where you are shipping from. There may be an option to ship via sea – it takes about 3 months, but is usually the cheapest method. Many people simply pay the airlines a fee to take an extra bag with them on the plane.

From the Airport to Weizmann
Taxi: Order a taxi via Gett, the official operator of authorized taxis from the airport. The authorized taxi line in Terminal 3 is on the ground floor, exit 03 and in Terminal 1 at the main entrance. Make sure the driver turns on the meter as required by law. A taxi from the airport to Rehovot costs 150-200 NIS (approximately 40-55$), depending on the number of passengers and luggage items and day/night rates. Estimated travel time: 40-50 minutes
Public Transportation
The Moovit is a payment app/website and can help you plan your trip for all public transportation in Israel, showing maps, fares, schedules, and arrival times.
Train: The train station is situated at Terminal 3, ground floor. There is no direct train from the airport to Rehovot; You will need to switch trains at the Tel Aviv Hagana station. The train station in Rehovot is a 10-minute walk from the Weizmann Institute main gate. Estimated travel time: 45-55 minutes.

The Weizmann Institute of Science is a leading international multidisciplinary research institution. The beautiful, landscaped campus is home to a wide range of sculptures, interesting and unusual vegetation from around the world, and architectural styles from the 1940s to the present. Guided campus tours (walking and motorized) are available from the recently renovated Levinson Visitors Center and include the Clore Garden of Science and Weizmann House. Rehovot City
Rehovot, founded in 1890 by Polish and Yemenite immigrants, is located in the center of the country. It has a population of over 130,000 and is well known for its scientific academic institutions – the Weizmann Institute of Science and the Hebrew University Faculty of Agriculture. Located about an hour from Jerusalem by car, around 30-45 minutes from Tel Aviv by car and less by train. Postdoctoral Fellows
International Postdoctoral Fellows are entitled to a maximum of 12 months in our housing. Demand is high and you should ask your department secretary to place a housing request at the earliest opportunity.
