Alumni photography contest
The winning photo from Shira Kritchman.
In August, the Weizmann Institute's Alumni Organization invited graduates to enter a photography competition being held on the group's Facebook page.
Shira Kritchman, an alumna of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science and current PhD student in the Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics, received the largest number of likes for her photograph, and was awarded a GoPro camera.
Liran Szlak, also an alumna from the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, and Adi Rogel who graduated from the Faculty of Life Sciences, received second and third place, respectively.
The prizes were sponsored by the semiconductor manufacturing company KLA-Tencor, which develops and manufactures advanced systems for controlling chip-manufacturing processes by optical means and electronic microscopy. The awards ceremony included tips from senior human resources personnel at KLA-Tencor on job interview preparation, resume writing, and how to use LinkedIn.
