The Science Club marks Rosh Hashana

The Science Club of the Israeli Friends Association of the Weizmann Institute held a Rosh Hashana event at the Sheva hall in Tel Aviv in September. Yoram Cohen, the former chief of Shin Bet, the Israeli Security Agency, was the keynote speaker.
Mr. Cohen, who began his career in operational positions at Shin Bet and progressed within the organization, spoke about the ethical dilemmas faced by the agency in protecting the security of the state and its citizens, vis a vis Israelis and Palestinians.
Prof. Yadin Dudai from the Institute's Department of Neurobiology, also spoke about his research on the topic of memory, and how easy it is for memories to be altered.
