Weizmann Memorial Lectures

The annual Weizmann Memorial Lectures Program is the most prestigious lecture series at the Weizmann Institute of Science. It commemorates the memory of the founder of the Institute, Dr. Chaim Weizmann.

Suggestions for potential lecturers are submitted by the members of the Institute's Scientific Council, the representative body of all professors at the Institute. The presenters of the Weizmann Lectures are selected by an internal committee from among these proposals.

The lectures are intended to review the state of the art and the newest developments in the field chosen for discussion. The series usually consists of two lectures, which are open to the Institute's faculty and staff, as well as to the community at large. The first talk is aimed toward anyone interested in science, while the second lecture is geared toward scientists from the Weizmann Institute and from other institutions of higher education in Israel.
