Our characterization lab is equipped with two magnet cryostats for measurements of magnetic and electronic properties as well as thermal transport and heat capacity.
Magnet cryostat MPMS3 from Quantum Design for measurements of magnetic properties up to 7 Tesla. Currently following options are available:
• DC magnetization
• VSM magnetization
• high pressure magnetization
Dynacool magnet cryostat from Quantum Design for measurements of electronic and magnetic properties up to 14 Tesla. Currently following options are available:
• DC & AC transport
• thermal transport
• heat capacity
• VSM magnetization (lower resolution than MPMS3, but 14T)
• torque magnetization
• high pressure magnetization
• dilution refrigerator
