Prof. Ravid Straussman
Molecular Cell Biology
The Straussman lab studies mechanisms of resistance to anti-cancer therapies. Tumors are heterogeneous and are made of highly complex ecosystems. Accordingly, our studies reach beyond the tumor cells to include the multiple components of the tumor microenvironment, including the tumor microbiome. We use cutting-edge technologies to study mechanisms that modulate the response to cytotoxic, targeted, and immune-mediated anti-cancer therapies. We strive to develop better treatment options for cancer patients.
