Women’s Postdoctoral Career Development Award in Science

In 2022, the Weizmann Institute of Science launched a new program to advance women scientists in Israel: the Women’s Postdoctoral Career Development Award in Science. The program supports Israeli women scientists during their postdoctoral training at leading institutions and laboratories abroad at a crucial stage in their career development. The award offers financial and professional development support to help women scientists return to Israel and pursue a career in academia in Israel.

The award includes a grant of $70,000 over two years, as well as individual career coaching. The award is administered by Prof. Idit Shachar, Head of the Weizmann Institute’s Office for the Advancement of Women in Science and Gender Equality, and is open to women scientists from all institutions of higher learning in Israel.
