An important duty inherent to academia is the evaluation of colleagues’ performance for recruitment, promotions, awards, and appointments.

A number of studies have demonstrated the existence of significant unconscious bias against women scientists by both men and women in various stages of their careers. 

We believe it is crucial to increase awareness of unconscious bias and its impacts and find ways to mitigate it.

The workshop is specifically designed for new Institute Promotion and Acceptance Committee members.
