I am a cancer researcher with the aim to gain deeper understanding of cancer genomic evolution and therapeutic resistance mechanisms. I have extensive experience with establishing and genetically manipulating patient derived organoids. Currently, I am working on developing patient derived organoid models to study gene amplification as a cancer mechanism to resist therapy.
Education:
PhD in Molecular Cell Biology, Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel. Supervisor: Prof. Varda Rotter. Thesis topic: The role of mutant p53 in the tumorigenesis of bone-marrow mesenchymal stem cells and Metabolism
Postdoctoral fellow, The Institute of Cancer Research and the Francis Crick institute, London, UK. Supervisor: Prof. Axel Behrens. Research topic: Pancreatic cancer cell of origin, heterogeneity and stemness.
