Instrument Specification
High Pressure Freezing machine
High Pressure Freezing immobilizes aqueous samples in their native state to deliver rapid sample preservation without introducing significant structural alterations.
- One move, fully automated specimen loading: The cartridge assembly and the freezing process is triggered automatically by closing the cover of the loading station.
- Programmed rotation: Software integrated programming of sample position, name and number in the specimen Dewar. Three separate positions: Allows for three different samples to be frozen subsequently. Or three different conditions of the same sample.
- Nine consecutive freezing cycles.
- Automated re-filling of the sample storage Dewar with LN2 throughout the freezing session.
- Integrated workstation with an integrated binocular microscope.
- Temperature control options for the loading station and table.
- Environmental chamber for optimal sample preparation.
- Software integrated tutorials.
- Light or electrical stimulation prior to freezing allows for trapping structural changes upon illumination. The light stimulation option exists at the EM Unit but its application requires a technical change that is available upon request. The option for electrical stimulation can be purchased.
