Questions
A famous scientist once said, "90% of neuroscientists work on 1% of the interesting questions.” Indeed, surveying the classic literature from half a century ago brings to light how many important questions remain unattended. We aim to teach students to ask unique and important questions by "standing on the shoulders of giants" and by exploiting the advantages of using the zebrafish as a model system.
Techniques
Technical knowledge is essential for substantiating unique ideas. We aim to ensure proficiency in cutting-edge skills in genetics, optics, programming and statistics by designing dedicated experimental setups and by collaborating with diverse researchers.
