HGW XX/7 is the code name of Gerd Wiesler, a special agent appointed to spy on their lives and make sure that they are "Loyal to the Party".
He didn’t imagine that his life would change from the moment he entered their lives when he started this ‘operation’. Wiesler finds himself secretly developing empathy and admiration for them and, together with his exposure to poetry, their literary and creative freedom, he finds himself taking a new look at his own life.
