Prof. Ayelet Erez is a distinguished expert in cancer genetics and metabolism, currently serving as the Medical School Dean at The Weizmann Institute of Science. Prof. Erez began her journey in medicine at the Technion in Haifa, where she completed her medical studies. Her passion for pediatrics led her to Sheba Medical Center, where she completed her residency and gained invaluable hands-on experience with young patients. Driven by a deep curiosity about the genetic underpinnings of diseases, Prof. Erez pursued a PhD in Cancer Genetics at Tel Aviv University, which laid the foundation for her research interests. She further expanded her expertise with clinical genetics training and a postdoctoral fellowship in inherited metabolic disorders at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Upon her return to Israel, Prof. Erez joined the Weizmann Institute of Science, where she established her laboratory and rose to the rank of Associate Professor. Her research focuses on monitoring metabolic changes in cancer and its host. In addition to her scientific work, Prof. Erez co-founded an oncogenetic clinic at Schneider Children's Medical Center, where she provides weekly consultations for families and children with suspected genetic predispositions to cancer, bridging the gap between her research and clinical practice.

Prof. Liran Shlush is a distinguished expert in hematology research and an Associate Professor in the Department of Molecular Cell Biology at the Weizmann Institute of Science. He is currently serving as Senior Associate to the Medical School Dean at The Weizmann Institute of Science. In addition, Prof. Shlush serves as the Course Leader for the Hematology and Immunology in the Human Body by Systems course. Prof. Shlush completed his medical studies and a PhD in Population Genetics at the Faculty of Medicine at the Technion in Haifa. After his education, he underwent internal medicine residency at Rambam Medical Center. Seeking further expertise, he pursued postdoctoral training in Toronto under Dr. John Dick, where he contributed to identifying early stages of acute myeloid leukemia. Prof. Shlush also specialized in leukemia at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, where he served as a senior physician in the Hemato-Oncology Department. Upon his return to Israel, he became a researcher at the Weizmann Institute of Science, focusing on the early stages of hematologic malignancies. His work is dedicated to developing methods for the early diagnosis of blood cancers and preventive treatments for leukemia. Prof. Shlush also serves as a hematologist at Maccabi Healthcare Services, applying his extensive knowledge to patient care alongside his research.

Prof. Iris Barshack is a distinguished expert in pathology, currently serving as the Accompanying Dean at The Weizmann Medical School and the Head of The Institute of Pathology at Sheba Medical Center. Prof. Barshack’s journey in medicine began at the Hebrew University, where she graduated with honors in Medical Sciences in 1985 and earned her MD in 1989. She served as a military doctor in the academic reserve program from 1991 to 1995, before pursuing her passion for pathology during her specialization at Sheba Medical Center from 1995 to 2000, with a focus on surgical and gastrointestinal pathology. In 2006, her expertise was recognized when she became the Director of the Pathology Institute at Sheba Medical Center. Her influence expanded to academia in 2009, when she began leading the Department of Pathology at Tel Aviv University. In 2014, Prof. Barshack became a full Professor of Pathology and took on significant roles at Tel Aviv University, including Associate Dean and Head of the School of Medicine from 2014 to 2022. Today, she continues to advance molecular and digital pathology at Sheba, while also serving as Chair of the Israeli Association of Pathologists and a member of the National Council for Pathology and Forensic Medicine.

Prof. Dina Ben-Yehuda is a distinguished expert in hematology, currently serving as Associate Dean for Medical Research Education at Weizmann Medical School. Prof. Ben-Yehuda’s journey in medicine began at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where she studied medicine and later specialized in hematology at Hadassah Medical Center. During the Yom Kippur War, she played a pivotal role in establishing the foundation of the casualty care system in the IDF, for which she received the Chief of Staff's Citation. Prof. Ben-Yehuda is currently the head of the hematology division and director of the laboratory for the diagnosis and research of malignant hematological tumors at Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem. Her research focuses on developing a drug for lymphoma based on an apoptosis-inducing protein characterized in her laboratory, encapsulated in nanoparticles. From 2017 to 2023, Prof. Ben-Yehuda served as the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she now leads the center for computational medicine. Her groundbreaking work places the Hebrew University among the world leaders in computational medicine. Prof. Ben-Yehuda has received numerous awards, including the Danieli Award for Medicine with Heart and the Bolvik Award for her special contributions to the advancement and development of the State of Israel. She continues to work in the public domain, serving in prominent roles such as chair of the organ donation committee of the Ministry of Health and chair of the national public committee for expanding the healthcare basket, among others.

Prof. Asaf Vivante is a distinguished expert in Pediatric Nephrology, currently serving as Associate Dean for Preclinical Studies at Weizmann Medical School and the Course Leader of the Nephrology in the Human Body by Systems course. Prof. Vivante’s journey in medicine began at the Technion's Faculty of Medicine, and after serving as a military doctor, he joined Sheba Medical Center's Pediatric Department in 2006 as a resident. His exceptional performance earned him the Sheba Prize and a place in the Talpiot Program. While working as a senior physician in Pediatric Department B, Prof. Vivante completed his PhD at Tel Aviv University. From 2013 to 2017, he furthered his expertise in Pediatric Nephrology through postdoctoral research and specialization at Boston Children's Hospital, affiliated with Harvard University. Upon returning to Israel in 2017, he quickly rose to head Pediatric Department B at Sheba Medical Center by 2019. His expertise in Pediatric Nephrology led him to establish a laboratory for genetic kidney disease research in children and a unique nephro-genetic clinic. Prof. Vivante is also an Associate Professor at Tel Aviv University, where he manages the "Etrogim" fellowship program at Sheba, nurturing the next generation of hospitalists. Internationally recognized for his work on genetic kidney diseases in children, Prof. Vivante leads numerous research projects, focusing on risk factors for chronic kidney failure and the genetic basis of kidney diseases in children. His groundbreaking research has been published in prestigious journals such as JAMA and NEJM.

Prof. Amir Shlomai is a distinguished expert in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and liver diseases, currently serving as Associate Dean for Clinical Studies at Weizmann Medical School as well as the Course Leader of the Gastrointestinal Medicine in the Human Body by Systems course and the Introduction to Clinical Medicine course. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and holds a master’s degree and PhD from the Weizmann Institute of Science, where he researched Hepatitis B Virus under Prof. Yossi Shaul. He also earned a Master's degree from Rockefeller University and an MBA in Health Systems Management from Tel Aviv University. At Rockefeller University, Prof. Shlomai established a research group on Hepatitis B, collaborating with Nobel Laureate Prof. Charlie Rice. In 2014, he joined Rabin Medical Center - Beilinson as Director of the Hepatitis Service and from 2015 heads the Internal Medicine Department D and the Liver Research Laboratory. His research focuses on hepatitis viruses, fatty liver disease, and liver cancer. Prof. Shlomai has received competitive international research grants and currently serves as Chair of the Israeli Association for the Study of the Liver. He is also an Associate Professor at Tel Aviv University, where he has served as the coordinator of the YAKAR course for several years, and teaches medical students during their clinical rotations and in various courses at the Faculty of Medical & health sciences.

Prof. Ravid Straussman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Molecular Cell Biology at the Weizmann Institute of Science and serves as the Head of the Admissions Committee at the Weizmann Medical School. He earned his M.D. and Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry from the Hebrew University, followed by postdoctoral training at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT. Prof. Straussman is renowned for his groundbreaking work on the tumor microbiome and its effects on cancer therapy resistance. He is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the Youdim Family Prize for Excellence in Cancer Research and the ERC Consolidator Grant.

Prof. Straussman's research focuses on the interactions between cancer cells and their surrounding microenvironment, particularly the role of bacteria in tumors. His discoveries have been published in leading journals such as Science, Nature, and Cell. He is frequently invited to present his findings at international conferences and symposiums.

In addition to his research and teaching roles, Prof. Straussman is actively involved in guiding the next generation of scientists, serving on several scientific committees and contributing to collaborations aimed at advancing cancer treatment strategies worldwide.

Prof. Avraham Yaron is a distinguished expert in molecular neurobiology, currently serving as the Head of PhD Program and Evaluation Committee  at Weizmann Medical School. He is also an Associate Professor at the Weizmann Institute of Science. Prof. Yaron completed his PhD in Biochemistry at the Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical School, where he graduated summa cum laude. He then pursued postdoctoral research in molecular neurobiology at UCSF, Stanford University, and Genentech under the mentorship of Prof. Marc Tessier-Lavigne. Since joining the Weizmann Institute, Prof. Yaron has made significant contributions to understanding the mechanisms of neuronal development and axon degeneration. His work has been published in leading scientific journals, and he is actively involved in numerous research collaborations in Israel and internationally. Prof. Yaron is also recognized for his leadership roles, having served on multiple academic and research committees, and continues to teach and mentor the next generation of scientists in the fields of neurobiology and molecular biology.

Prof. Shay Ben-Shachar is a leading figure in the fields of genomics and precision medicine. As Director of Genomics and Precision Medicine at Clalit, and a part of Clalit Research Institute, he oversees groundbreaking research that integrates genomic and phenotypic data to advance personalized healthcare. After earning his MD from the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University, Prof. Ben-Shachar completed residencies and fellowships in pediatrics and clinical genetics, including a postdoctoral position at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. His research has illuminated genetic underpinnings of rare disorders, variants' analysis, and novel genes' function and discovery, and his expertise drives innovation in population-based studies and electronic health records integration. He also heads Israel's largest next-generation sequencing lab, enabling comprehensive genetic analysis for research and clinical applications.

Dr. Shimon Amar is a distinguished educator and practitioner in family medicine and medical education. With an academic foundation that includes a B.Sc., M.Sc., and MD from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Dr. Amar has cultivated a career centered on community health, innovative teaching, and mentorship. As Executive Director at the Goldman Medical School, he coordinated courses in clinical communication, medical decision-making, and simulation-based learning. He has received awards for excellence in innovative teaching, ensuring graduates are equipped with essential skills for modern healthcare challenges. Dr. Amar’s research spans infectious diseases, elder care nutrition, and medical education, reinforcing his dedication to advancing the field

Prof. Gilbey currently serves as the Head of the Neuro-Otology Clinic, Lin Medical Center, and as an Associate Clinical Professor, Azrieli Faculty of Medicine, Bar-Ilan University. He is a renowned expert in neuro-otology and medical education, combining extensive clinical experience with academic leadership. He earned his MD and B.Med.Sc from Tel Aviv University's Sackler Faculty of Medicine and further specialized in Otolaryngology at the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya. Prof. Gilbey has held several leadership positions, including Head of Otolaryngology at Ziv Medical Center and his current role as Head of the Neuro-Otology Clinic at Clalit Health Services at the Lin Medical Center in Haifa. His academic journey includes a Master’s degree in Medical Education from the University of Dundee and a faculty appointment as Associate Clinical Professor at Bar-Ilan University's Azrieli Faculty of Medicine, where he leads the medical education department. Prof. Gilbey’s contributions span otolaryngology, vestibular disorders, and telemedicine, with notable work in hearing screening programs and person-centered medical education. He has received multiple awards for his teaching excellence and continues to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Prof. Chaim Putterman is currently serving as the Course Leader for the Rheumatology and Dermatology in the Human Body by Systems course at the Weizmann Medical School. He earned his M.D., cum laude, from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and completed his Rheumatology Fellowship and post-doctoral training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Prof. Putterman is currently the Director of the Research Institute at Galilee Medical Center and holds a tenured professorship at the Azrieli Faculty of Medicine at Bar-Ilan University. He is also a Professor Emeritus of Medicine, and Microbiology and Immunology, at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center, where he served as Chief of the Division of Rheumatology and led significant advances in both basic and translational immunology research and patient care.

Prof. Putterman’s research primarily focuses on autoimmune diseases, particularly systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), lupus nephritis, and neuropsychiatric lupus, for which he has gained international recognition. He has been awarded the Saul R. Korey Award for Translational Medicine and Science, and was elected to the American Society for Clinical Investigation and the Israel National Academy for Scientific Medicine. Prof. Putterman has received numerous prestigious grants, including the Arthritis Foundation Hulda Irene Duggan Arthritis Investigator Award and the Lupus Research Institute’s Novel Research Project Award. His work has been published in top-tier journals such as Nature Immunology and The Journal of Clinical Investigation, making him a key figure in the field of rheumatology.

Prof. Putterman regularly presents his findings at major international conferences and symposia. In addition to his clinical and research achievements, he is committed to medical education and mentoring the next generation of physician-scientists. He has been recognized for his excellence in teaching with awards such as the American College of Rheumatology Faculty Mentor Award and the Samuel M. Rosen Award for Outstanding Teaching in the Pre-Clinical Curriculum.

Prof. Nir Yosef is an Associate Professor in the Department of Systems Immunology at the Weizmann Institute of Science and serves as the Course Scientific Assistant for Hematology and Immunology in the Human Body by Systems at the Weizmann Medical School. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University and completed his postdoctoral training at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard Medical School, focusing on systems immunology and computational biology. Prof. Yosef’s work integrates computational methods and experimental data to understand the regulation of immune responses, with a particular emphasis on single-cell transcriptomics and immunogenomics.

Prof. Yosef has received numerous prestigious awards, including the ERC Consolidator Grant and the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Investigator Award. His research has been widely published in top-tier journals such as Nature, Cell, and Science Immunology. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences, such as the Human Cell Atlas and the Immune Aging Initiative, and has made significant contributions to understanding the complexity of immune cell behavior and gene regulation.

In addition to his research and teaching, Prof. Yosef plays an active role in mentoring students and leading innovative projects aimed at advancing the field of immunology. He has also been involved in collaborative efforts to map immune cell functions across various tissues and disease states.

Prof. Uri Alon is a Full Professor in the Department of Molecular Cell Biology at the Weizmann Institute of Science and serves as the Course Scientific Assistant for Endocrinology and Fertility in the Human Body by Systems at the Weizmann Medical School. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from the Weizmann Institute, followed by postdoctoral research in molecular biology at Princeton University. Prof. Alon is internationally recognized for his pioneering work in systems biology, focusing on the design principles of biological circuits, endocrinology and aging.

Prof. Alon has received numerous prestigious awards, including the EMBO Young Investigator Award, the Overton Prize from the International Society for Computational Biology, and the Nakasone Award for Breakthroughs in Life Sciences. His research has been widely published in top journals such as Science, Nature, and Cell, and he has authored influential textbooks, including An Introduction to Systems Biology and Systems Medicine. He regularly presents at international conferences and workshops, sharing his innovative insights into systems biology and medicine.

In addition to his research, Prof. Alon is a dedicated educator and mentor, having trained numerous Ph.D. students and postdoctoral fellows who have gone on to hold prominent academic and industry positions worldwide. His leadership extends beyond research, as he also plays an active role in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and soft skills training within the academic community.

Prof. Amos Tanay is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics and the Department of Molecular Cell Biology at the Weizmann Institute of Science. He serves as the Course Leader for Computational Molecular Biology of the Cell at the Weizmann Medical School. Prof. Tanay completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science, with distinction, from Tel Aviv University and went on to pursue a fellowship at Rockefeller University in the Center for Physics and Biology. He is also the Director of the Weizmann AI Hub for Scientific Research.

Prof. Tanay’s research focuses on computational genomics, single-cell analysis, and epigenetics, with an emphasis on understanding chromosomal architecture and gene regulation. He has received numerous prestigious awards, including the ERC Advanced Grant and the Helmholtz International Fellow Award. His research has been published in leading journals such as Nature, Science, and Cell, and he is a frequent speaker at international conferences, including Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory meetings and the European Association for Cancer Research symposiums.

In addition to his research and teaching roles, Prof. Tanay plays an active role in fostering interdisciplinary collaborations and advancing computational biology education. His innovative approach has positioned him as a key figure in the field of computational genomics, and he continues to lead significant research projects that explore the intersections of biology and data science.

Dr. Shai Fuchs is a Physician-Scientist and Pediatric Endocrinologist at Sheba Medical Center and serves as the Course Leader for Endocrinology and Fertility in the Human Body by Systems at the Weizmann Medical School. He holds an M.D. from Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School and a Ph.D. from the Weizmann Institute of Science. Dr. Fuchs completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, where he worked extensively on endocrine-related disorders and liver diseases.

Dr. Fuchs leads a translational research lab at Sheba Medical Center, focusing on liver organoid models to study hormonal regulation in diseases like non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and diabetes. His work has garnered significant support, including grants from the Israel Science Fund (ISF) and the European Foundation for the Study of Diabetes (EFSD). His research has been published in prominent journals such as Journal of Clinical Investigations and Cell Metabolism, with ongoing collaborative efforts across institutions globally.

In addition to his research and clinical roles, Dr. Fuchs is an active educator, mentoring students and medical professionals in pediatric endocrinology. He regularly presents his findings at international conferences and has contributed to several scientific committees and review boards, advancing the fields of endocrinology, immunology, and liver disease.

Prof. Alona Zer is a Professor of Medicine and Medical Oncology, currently serving as the Course Leader for Oncology in the Human Body by Systems at the Weizmann Medical School. She holds an M.D., cum laude, from Tel Aviv University, and completed her residency in oncology at the Rabin Medical Center. Prof. Zer further advanced her expertise with a Clinical Research Fellowship at the Princess Margaret Cancer Center, University of Toronto. Currently, she serves as the Head of the Department of Medical Oncology at Rambam Medical Center and is an esteemed lecturer at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.

Prof. Zer’s research focuses on lung cancer, Kaposi sarcoma, and the predictive biomarkers for immune checkpoint inhibitors in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Her work has been published extensively in top journals such as JAMA Oncology and The Oncologist, and she has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Lung Cancer Care Team Award by the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC). She regularly lectures at national and international conferences and serves on the ESMO Scientific Committee.

In addition to her clinical and research achievements, Prof. Zer plays a pivotal role in advancing oncology education and guiding the next generation of oncologists. She is also actively involved in clinical trials and collaborative research initiatives aimed at improving treatment outcomes for cancer patients globally.

Prof. Roi Avraham is an Associate Professor in the Department of Immunology and Regenerative Biology at the Weizmann Institute of Science and serves as the Course Scientific Assistant for Computational Molecular Biology of the Cell – Microbiology at the Weizmann Medical School. He completed his Ph.D. at the Weizmann Institute, followed by postdoctoral training at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where he specialized in host-pathogen interactions. His research focuses on the molecular interactions between the immune system and intracellular pathogens, particularly Salmonella Typhimurium, using advanced single-cell methodologies and dual RNA-seq techniques.

Prof. Avraham has received several prestigious awards, including the Weizmann Institute's Levinson Prize and the Outstanding Early Career Scientist Award from the American Society for Microbiology. His work has been published in leading journals such as Cell, Nature, and Science, with key contributions in the field of infection biology and immune response dynamics. He frequently presents at international conferences and is actively involved in scientific collaborations across multiple disciplines.

In addition to his research and teaching, Prof. Avraham mentors students and leads innovative projects that explore the complexities of immune responses to intracellular infections, helping to advance the understanding of host-pathogen interactions and microbial genomics.

Prof. Jakub Abramson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Immunology and Regenerative Biology at the Weizmann Institute of Science and serves as the Course Scientific Assistant for Rheumatology in the Human Body by Systems at the Weizmann Medical School. 

Prof. Abramson completed his postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School, where he specialized in immunology. His research focuses on immune tolerance, specifically the role of the Autoimmune Regulator (AIRE) gene and thymic epithelial cells in preventing autoimmune diseases. His groundbreaking work has advanced understanding of how the immune system differentiates between self and non-self, which has significant implications for both autoimmunity and cancer immunotherapy.

Prof. Abramson has been recognized with numerous awards, including the prestigious ERC Consolidator Grant and the Teva-ISF Award for Promising Biomedical Research. In addition to his academic achievements, Prof. Abramson is actively involved in organizing international scientific meetings, such as the ThymE 2024 International Meeting on T Cells and Thymus Biology. His mentorship of students and postdoctoral fellows is also a significant aspect of his academic career, contributing to the development of the next generation of immunologists.

Dr. Bruria Ben-Zeev is a full clinical professor at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University and serves as the Course Leader for the Neurology in the Human Body by Systems course at Weizmann Medical School. She is also the head of the Pediatric Neurology Unit at the Safra Pediatric Hospital, Chaim Sheba Medical Center, and is an international expert in Rett Syndrome, epilepsy, and various pediatric neurological disorders.

Dr. Ben-Zeev began her medical journey at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, completing her MD in 1983. She specialized in Pediatrics and Pediatric Neurology, including a subspecialty in Pediatric Neurology at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Throughout her career, she has contributed significantly to clinical research in pediatric neurology, with a special focus on Rett Syndrome and childhood epilepsy. 

She has held several leadership roles, including Director of the Pediatric Epilepsy Service and Head of the Israeli Rett Clinic. Dr. Ben-Zeev's work has earned her an international reputation, and she actively participates in various advisory boards and international Rett Syndrome consortiums.

Prof. Shalev Itzkovitz is a Professor of Molecular Cell Biology and serves as the Course Scientific Assistant for Gastrointestinal Medicine in the Human Body by Systems at the Weizmann Medical School. He completed his Ph.D. at the Weizmann Institute of Science, followed by postdoctoral training at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Currently, Prof. Itzkovitz leads the Department of Molecular Cell Biology at the Weizmann Institute.

Prof. Itzkovitz’s research focuses on spatial transcriptomics, systems biology, and the intricate behavior of single cells within mammalian tissues, particularly the liver and the gastrointestinal system. His pioneering work in these fields has been widely published in top journals such as Nature, Cell, and Science. His achievements have been recognized through numerous prestigious awards, including the Rappaport Prize for Excellence in Biomedical Research and the Helen and Martin Kimmel Award for Innovative Investigation.

In addition to his academic and research roles, Prof. Itzkovitz plays a significant role in shaping the next generation of scientists through his teaching and mentorship at the Feinberg Graduate School. He has organized and chaired several scientific meetings and is frequently invited to present his findings at international conferences around the world.

Dr. Oren Caspi is a distinguished expert in cardiology, currently serving as the Course Leader for the Cardiology in the Human Body by Systems course at Weizmann Medical School. He is the Director of the Heart Failure Unit and the Digital Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at Rambam Health Care Campus, as well as the Director of the Rambam Center for Cardiovascular Research and Innovation. Dr. Caspi holds an MD and PhD from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, where he has also served as a senior lecturer. His expertise spans heart failure, cardiomyopathies, myocardial regeneration, and cardiovascular precision medicine. Dr. Caspi's research focuses on using human pluripotent stem cells and cardiac organoids to study heart failure and develop novel therapeutic interventions. He has held prominent roles, including Chairperson of the Young Israeli National Academy of Science in Medicine, and his groundbreaking research has been published in leading international journals.

Prof. Valery Krizhanovsky is a Full Professor in the Department of Molecular Cell Biology at the Weizmann Institute of Science and serves as the Course Scientific Assistant for Pulmonology in the Human Body by Systems at the Weizmann Medical School. He completed his Ph.D. in Developmental Neuro-Genetics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, followed by postdoctoral training at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. His work focuses on the molecular and cellular mechanisms of senescence, particularly in the context of aging and cancer biology.

Prof. Krizhanovsky has received numerous awards, including the prestigious ERC-SyG Grant for Systems Biology of Aging and the Shimon and Golde Picker Award for academic achievements. His research has been published extensively in top journals such as Cell, Nature, and The EMBO Journal. He is an invited speaker at international conferences, including the International Cell Senescence Association and the Nature Conference on Aging, Health, and Rejuvenation.

In addition to his research and teaching roles, Prof. Krizhanovsky is actively involved in academic leadership, serving on numerous scientific committees and advisory boards, and is recognized as a world expert in cellular senescence. He continues to contribute to advancing the understanding of aging and cancer, focusing on innovative therapeutic approaches that target senescent cells.

Dr. Nathan Gluck is an accomplished expert in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine, currently serving as a Senior Physician in the Gastroenterology Department at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center and as the Course Leader for the Gastrointestinal Medicine in the Human Body by Systems course at Weizmann Medical School. He is also the Head of the Gastrointestinal Malignancies Service and a Consultant in Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases at Maccabi Healthcare Services. 

Dr. Gluck completed his MD and PhD at the Hebrew University, with his PhD focusing on the molecular mechanisms of inflammatory diseases. He pursued further studies in the United States at the University of Michigan, where he completed a research fellowship in Molecular Mechanisms of Disease. His clinical expertise extends to the innovative field of colorectal cancer screening, where he has developed and evaluated novel techniques, including a prepless X-ray imaging capsule. 

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Gluck is an active academic, currently serving as an Associate Professor at Tel Aviv University. He coordinates and teaches courses in gastrointestinal physiology and clinical gastroenterology to medical students. His research focuses on immunometabolic aspects of obesity, inflammatory bowel diseases, and liver diseases.

Dr. Michal Ramot is a Senior Scientist in the Department of Brain Sciences at the Weizmann Institute of Science and serves as the Course Scientific Assistant for Neurology in the Human Body by Systems at the Weizmann Medical School. She completed her Ph.D. in Neural Computation at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and continued her postdoctoral research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the National Institute of Mental Health. Her work focuses on spontaneous brain activity, cognition, and the use of real-time neurofeedback to study brain function.

Dr. Ramot has received multiple prestigious awards, including the Zuckerman Faculty Scholar Award and the Seymour S. Kety Memorial Fellowship. Her research has been published in leading journals such as Trends in Cognitive Sciences, The Journal of Neuroscience, and NeuroImage. In addition to her scientific achievements, she is actively involved in mentoring students and leading cutting-edge research in cognitive neuroscience and brain function.

Prof. Fahed Hakim is an Associate Professor, Pediatrician, Pediatric Pulmonologist, and Sleep Specialist. He serves as the Course Leader for the Pulmonology in the Human Body by Systems course at the Weizmann Medical School. He completed his medical education at Hadassah and the Hebrew University School of Medicine in Jerusalem, then completed his residency program in pediatrics and then in pediatric pulmonary medicine at Rambam medical center, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in sleep medicine at the University of Chicago. Currently, he is the General Director of Nazareth Hospital EMMS and a senior physician at the Pediatric Pulmonary Department at Rambam Health Care Campus, as well as an Associate Professor at Bar-Ilan University.

Prof. Hakim's research focuses on sleep medicine, asthma, and cystic fibrosis, with publications in leading journals such as Cancer Research and Nature Medicine. His numerous honors include the Rivka and Shimon Lenel Excellence Award and the Career Development Award from the American Society of Clinical Investigation. He frequently lectures at international conferences.

As a leader, Prof. Hakim has guided the Nazareth Hospital toward significant progress through collaborations with institutions worldwide. He also participates in leadership programs, including at Harvard Business School, and advises companies in medical innovations.

Dr. Itay Tirosh is a Senior Scientist in the Department of Molecular Cell Biology at the Weizmann Institute of Science and serves as the Course Scientific Assistant for Oncology in the Human Body by Systems at the Weizmann Medical School. He completed his Ph.D. in Bioinformatics at the Weizmann Institute, followed by postdoctoral training at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where he focused on cancer biology and intra-tumor heterogeneity. Dr. Tirosh’s research has centered on understanding cellular diversity within tumors using single-cell genomics, and his work has led to significant insights into cancer biology, particularly glioblastoma and other complex cancers.

Dr. Tirosh has received numerous prestigious awards, including the ERC Consolidator Grant and the Human Frontiers Science Program Career Development Award. His research has been widely published in top-tier journals such as Nature, Cell, and Cancer Cell, and he is frequently invited to present his findings at international conferences, including the European Association for Cancer Research and the Society of Neuro-Oncology.

He collaborates with leading cancer research centers around the world, further advancing the understanding of tumor heterogeneity and the development of innovative cancer therapies.

Prof. Yitzhak Pilpel is a Full Professor in the Department of Molecular Genetics at the Weizmann Institute of Science and serves as the Course Leader for the Computational Molecular Biology of the Cell course at the Weizmann Medical School. He is a leading researcher in systems biology, bioinformatics, and molecular genetics. Prof. Pilpel completed his Ph.D. at the Weizmann Institute of Science and his postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School. His research has garnered international recognition, including numerous prestigious grants and awards, such as the ERC Synergy Grant and the Michael Bruno Memorial Award. He has published extensively in top journals like Cell and Nature Genetics and regularly delivers keynote lectures at international conferences.

Prof. Eldad Tzahor is a Full Professor in the Department of Molecular Cell Biology at the Weizmann Institute of Science and serves as the Course Scientific Assistant for Cardiology in the Human Body by Systems at the Weizmann Medical School. He completed his Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the Weizmann Institute of Science and pursued postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School in Developmental Biology. Prof. Tzahor is recognized internationally for his pioneering research in cardiac regeneration and developmental biology, particularly the mechanisms underlying heart repair and regeneration.

Prof. Tzahor has received numerous prestigious awards and grants, including two ERC personal grants, the Levinson Prize in Biology, and funding from the Israel Science Foundation and Horizon 2020. His research has been widely published in leading journals, focusing on regenerative medicine and cardiac development. He is frequently invited to speak at major international conferences and has co-founded several startups aimed at advancing therapies for heart disease.

In addition to his scientific achievements, Prof. Tzahor is actively involved in teaching and mentoring the next generation of researchers. His work continues to push the boundaries of understanding heart regeneration and its potential for therapeutic applications.

Dr. Sharon Amit is a distinguished expert in Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, currently serving as the Course Leader for the Computational Molecular Biology of the Cell – Microbiology course at Weizmann Medical School. She is the Head of Clinical Microbiology at the Chaim Sheba Medical Center and has previously held similar roles at Hadassah Medical Center. She holds an MD and PhD from Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical School, along with an MBA in Healthcare Innovation from Reichman University. Dr. Amit’s research focuses on various aspects of epidemiology, microbiology and infectious diseases. She continues to contribute to the field through her leadership and ongoing research efforts.
