Our Commitment

At The Miriam and Aaron Gutwirth Medical School, we believe that investing in our students is the foundation for their success as future physician-scientists. From day one, students become part of an elite team dedicated to advancing healthcare and biomedical research. We provide an unparalleled educational experience through a world-class, one-of-a-kind program that seamlessly integrates evidence-based, technology-driven education with groundbreaking research opportunities. This ensures our students gain the skills and knowledge needed to excel both academically and professionally.

Our commitment to our students extends beyond academics. We provide a comprehensive support package, including free tuition, a living stipend and a personal laptop, so students can focus entirely on their studies and research without financial stress. Additionally, we prioritize student life and well-being by fostering a collaborative and supportive community where students can thrive personally and professionally. A variety of wellness initiatives, mentorship programs and social activities ensure students maintain a healthy balance between their rigorous academic pursuits and their personal lives.

With access to an amusement park of research opportunities, including over 250 research groups in diverse disciplines, students are empowered to explore their passions and excel as both physicians and researchers. By investing in their education, well-being and future, we create an environment where students are free to fully immerse themselves in their studies and prepare to tackle the challenges of modern medicine. As graduates, they join a lifelong membership to a thriving scientific community, fostering innovation and collaboration that extends well beyond their time at the Weizmann Institute.

The mentorship program for first-year students is overseen by the PhD Evaluation Committee, led by Prof. Avraham Yaron. The program provides structured meetings and lab rotations to help students select their PhD labs. Mentors guide students to align their research and PhD plans with the curriculum, ensuring steady academic progress.
