About the service
The Electronics and Data Acquisition Group designs and builds custom electronics and software for state-of-the-art data acquisition and experiment control systems for research groups across the Institute. Our experience often yields suggestions that can enhance the capabilities of the research program.
The group's expertise includes:
- electronics design with programmable logic devices (large FPGAs)
- low-noise and high voltage analog circuits
- optical interconnects for high-speed or isolation
- programming PCs, micro-processors and single-board computers in C, Labview, Lab Windows; for Windows or Linux systems
- assembly of delicate electronics and mechanics
- design & assembly of multi-layer printed-circuit boards; production of 2-layer printed-circuit boards in-house
