The center initiates and organizes various frameworks for the professional development of instructors, mentors, leading teachers and the entire science teaching communit.
The national centers for science teachers are funded by MALAM and operate in full cooperation with MOE supervision. The centers pioneer and organize various frameworks for the professional development of instructors, mentors, leading teachers and the entire science teaching community.
The center’s primary activities include:
- Development of teaching materials on various topics: research, innovative pedagogical techniques, ICT, diagnosis and evaluation, differential and personal teaching and more.
- Organizing various programs for the professional development of teachers and instructors, including: courses, conventions, seminars, annual conferences, publishing of teacher’s magazines and a direct mailing system.
- Outreach – Translations of materials and websites into Arabic, specialized local (district-based) programs and activities in the periphery of Israel.
